Since October 7th, Rachel Goldberg-Polin has exemplified what it means to be a Woman of Valor.
Rachel is a nurturer and also a warrior – she fights not only for her personal world and those she loves but also for the world around her. She has been an important voice in keeping all the hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, including her son Hersh Goldberg-Polin, recently deceased, front-and-center on the world stage, and has served as a voice of humanity in the face of adversity.
Rachel has embodied profound courage and unwavering resolve.
In the wake of the brutal murder of six innocent lives this weekend, including her son Hersh, her strength and commitment have become a powerful symbol of resilience for so many during this heart-wrenching period.
During his funeral, she stated:
“I pray that your death will be a turning point in this horrible situation in which we are all entangled,” she says, adding she takes comfort that he was with other hostages at the time he was killed.
Rachel’s leadership has continued to help us prioritize life and hope during this dark time. Her unwavering determination during such profound sorrow has given us all the strength to endure this difficult time and hope for peace and justice.
