While 2020 was said to be “The Year of the Woman,” at JWFNY, we celebrate women EVERY DAY.
On April 29, 2021, JWFNY held our annual Be-JEWEL-ed Gala Celebration where we celebrated visionary women leaders and their extraordinary social impact!
Women are innovators, builders, dreamers, galvanizers, and changemakers. As we work to overcome the tremendous challenges that we’ve faced over this past year, this is the moment to toast exceptional women leaders who shine their light on critical global issues and create innovative solutions to make meaningful social change.
Although we were unable to gather in person this year, a “Zoom” event creates the unique opportunity to bring together entrepreneurs, activists, and philanthropists from around the globe who share our commitment to gender justice and social innovation, and fulfill our cravings for inspiration, purpose, and hope.
We were delighted to welcome Rebecca Traister, author of Good and Mad, as our guest speaker. Rebecca’s writings focus on women in politics, media, and entertainment from a feminist perspective.
We also featured Yolanda Savage-Narva, Director of Racial Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at Union for Reform Judaism, who shared with us the importance of moral passion.
We also announced the new members of the third cohort of The Collective!
If you missed us on April 29, watch the event below and raise a glass to Jewish women leaders!
