While the Israeli government pushes forward on efforts to roll back women’s rights, Esty Shushan is lobbying, advocating, and raising awareness in order to counter trends of extremism and exclusion of ultra-Orthodox women. She is the Founder and CEO of Nivcharot, the first and only Haredi feminist organization in Israel. Esty works to promote the status of and rights of ultra-Orthodox women and their inclusion in political processes and positions of power.
