Dina Shalev

Dina Shalev has served as the Executive Director and Head of Advocacy at Lada’at – Choose Well since 2018. She joined Lada’at as a volunteer in 2013, serving as the counseling center coordinator from 2014–2018. During Dina’s tenure as Executive Director, Lada’at has undergone unprecedented growth. From two departments, counseling and education, Lada’at now includes vibrant Arabic and social media departments and has significantly increased its advocacy activity. Representing Lada’at, Dina was a founder of the Coalition for the Abolishment of Abortion Committees, which achieved a significant reform in 2022, and has been a driving force in its transition to the newly inaugurated Israel Coalition for Reproductive Rights, which includes 20 member organizations. Dina also joined the Forum for the Reduction of Gaps in East Jerusalem Healthcare, providing expertise from Lada’at’s work in the field.

Previously, Dina worked as a crisis intervention manager at the Crisis Center for Children in Be’er Sheva. She holds a BA in Psychology from Ben Gurion University and a MSW from Hebrew University. Her social work practicum included an internship at the Counseling Center for Women in Jerusalem, providing support for victims of sexual and/or physical abuse. Dina also completed a course in couples’ counseling at the Yahel Center for healthy sexuality in the religious community and a Matan Israel course in managerial excellence.

Dina volunteered for a year of community service at the Yemin Orde Youth Village prior to her army service and worked with at-risk youth as an officer in the IDF.
