Jaimie Krass

Jaimie Krass serves as the President & CEO of Keshet, which works for the full equality of all LGBTQ+ Jews and their families. Keshet equips Jewish organizations with the skills and knowledge to build LGBTQ+-affirming communities, creates spaces in which LGBTQ+ Jewish youth and LGBTQ+ Jews of Color experience joy and belonging, and advances LGBTQ+ rights nationwide.

A lifelong advocate for LGBTQ+ equality, Jaimie brings an innovative spirit, fierce compassion, and boundless energy to the work of building a more just, affirming, and celebratory world for LGBTQ+ Jews. Throughout her career — and extending back to her teenage years, when she founded the LGBTQ+ student club at her Florida high school — she has advocated for LGBTQ+ justice and belonging, facilitating trainings at a variety of Jewish venues, and creating safe spaces for LGBTQ+ Russian-speaking Jewish teens in Brooklyn, NY.

Prior to stepping into her current role, Jaimie served as Keshet’s Director of Youth Programs for five years. Before Keshet, Jaimie served as a Hillel campus professional for seven years, creating and leading immersive experiences, reimagining Jewish tradition, and empowering students to seize ownership of their journeys and become leaders in their communities. She also volunteered as a crisis counselor with the Trevor Project for over 10 years. She received her B.A. in political science and Jewish studies from the University of Florida and her M.A. in Jewish education and nonprofit professional leadership from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America.
